The Smart Astro is a revolutionary revision of the iconic, original Astro lava lamp: Same futuristic shape and design, but with a dynamic color scale! Astro Smart brings lava lamps to a new era, jampacked with technical innovations.

Instead of heating up the lava with a traditional lamp, Astro Smart uses the new Smart-technology by Mathmos. It combines a computer chip, heat sensor, heating unit, and very high quality LED lights into a dynamic whole that is controlled with a touch switch. Among other features, this technology guarantees that your lava lamp will never overheat.

The circuit-controlled LEDs create an even, smooth, and rich color scale for the lava, and by using the SMART switch on the stand, you can stop the alternating colors to a particularly pleasing one. So you can chill out with alternating colors, or chooce a color that suits your interior design particularly well.

Astro Smart is available in two versions: Blue-red, that cycles through pinks and purples, and yellow-green, that cycles through redds and oranges. The lamp stand and curvy bottle are all handcrafted in the UK.
